Zaryonee began with a simple observation and a belief that good tea should taste like good tea. Born and brought up in Tinsukia, Assam, Pankaj Gohain grew up in one of India’s most celebrated tea-producing regions. Yet, like many consumers, he found himself questioning the quality of tea that was readily available in the market. Too often, the emphasis seemed to be on volume and affordability, while the character, aroma and authentic taste of quality tea were overlooked.

That observation became the starting point for Zaryonee.

With a Master of Science degree and a strong inclination towards business and entrepreneurship, Pankaj envisioned building a brand that would make premium tea and coffee more accessible to consumers who genuinely care about what goes into their cup. Zaryonee was not born out of a large organisation or an established legacy. It started as an independent idea and was built from the ground up by Pankaj—with a clear belief that quality should never be compromised for the sake of scale.
